IMF chief: 'Clear we have entered recession'


WASHINGTON: The coronavirus pandemic has driven the worldwide economy into a downturn that will require gigantic financing to help creating countries, IMF boss Kristalina Georgieva said on Friday.

"Unmistakably we have entered a downturn" that will be more regrettable than in 2009 after the worldwide budgetary emergency, she said in an online press instructions.
